SANAA, Yemen โ€” Yemen's Houthi group (Ansar Allah) said its forces fired ballistic missiles at a Saudi-owned oil tanker on Tuesday, accusing the vessel of violating a maritime blockade the group has imposed on Saudi Arabia. Military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a televised statement that the ship was struck after ignoring warnings and refusing to turn back, forcing it to withdraw. He did not provide details on the tanker's name, flag, or the extent of the damage. Saree said the group would continue its naval blockade of Saudi Arabia under what he described as a principle of "a siege against a siege and a comprehensive escalation against a comprehensive escalation." Separately, Saree said on Saturday that the group had launched dozens of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones at facilities belonging to Saudi energy company Aramco in the cities of Jizan and Yanbu. No immediate confirmation or casualty figures were provided by Saudi authorities.
