Drone Strikes Kill 4, Wound 6 in Sudan Province

BAGHDAD, Iraq — BAGHDAD — Drone attacks in Sudan's North Kordofan province killed four people and wounded six others, a human rights group reported Tuesday. The strikes targeted El-Haşhaşa and El-Bukriyat villages in the Hamra el-Sheikh area of the province. The group said a civilian vehicle was also hit during the attacks, adding to the casualty toll. According to the statement, a second strike in the same area killed two people and wounded one, bringing the combined death toll to four and the number of wounded to six. Some of the injured are in serious condition. The rights organization said the attacks deliberately targeted civilians and constitute violations of international humanitarian law. It also reported that approximately five civilian vehicles were struck in air raids across the Kordofan region between May 28 and June 5.
