Dollar edges lower against Iraqi dinar in Baghdad and Erbil

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The dollar eased against the Iraqi dinar on Thursday in both Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region capital of Erbil, according to central bank data. On the Kifai and Harisiya stock exchanges in Baghdad, 100 dollars traded at 152,750 dinars, down from 153,300 dinars the previous day. Local currency exchange offices in Baghdad quoted a selling price of 153,250 dinars and a buying price of 152,250 dinars per 100 dollars. In Erbil, the currency also weakened against the dinar, with 100 dollars quoted at a selling price of 152,950 dinars and a buying price of 152,850 dinars. The decline was visible across city exchange desks, where both buying and selling rates were revised downward compared with the previous session. The Central Bank of Iraq has not issued a separate statement on the movement.
