PARIS, France — France coach Didier Dechamps has dismissed concerns over Arsenal defender William Saliba's condition, saying the 25-year-old is present with the squad and that “everything is fine.”
Saliba had been the subject of reports about an injury after last Saturday’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, where he was said to have played despite pain before the match.
Some broadcasts also suggested the injury could put his World Cup participation at risk. France are in Group 9 with Senegal, Norway and Iraq.
