Commander-in-Chief Ali Falih el-Zeydi has pledged full government support for Iraq's security forces to ensure national stability and consolidate all weaponry under state control.
During a meeting with senior military and security leaders held for Eid al-Adha, el-Zeydi met with the Chief of the General Staff, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, and the heads of the Intelligence and National Security services, alongside undersecretaries from the Ministry of Interior.
El-Zeydi commended the security forces for their success in maintaining public order across the country and overcoming various operational challenges. He noted that the current professional capabilities of these institutions are critical for fulfilling national duties and establishing state authority.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the government remains committed to providing the necessary resources to make stability permanent and ensure the state maintains a monopoly on the use of force.
He attributed Iraq's current prosperity to the sacrifices of the security forces, highlighting the essential role of martyrs and veterans in protecting the nation and securing its gains to meet the expectations of the Iraqi people.
