Barzani Promotes 95 Asayish Officers and 210 Peshmerga Graduates

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani has signed decrees promoting 95 non-commissioned officers in the region’s Asayish forces and granting non-commissioned officer rank to 210 graduates after the fifth officer graduation ceremony at the Third Military College. The decrees took effect today. Barzani signed the order for the Asayish personnel in his capacity as president of the Kurdistan Regional Government. He also signed the decree for the 210 graduates in his role as Commander of the Peshmerga Forces. The promotions and appointments are part of the region’s military and security personnel structure. Both decrees entered into force immediately upon signing.
