Bahrain Downs Iran's Missiles, Drones; Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Condemn Attacks

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — Bahrain's Defense Force announced Tuesday it intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles and multiple drones launched from Iran. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait both condemned the strikes, with Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry saying the attacks threaten regional and international security. Kuwait's foreign ministry said the strikes blatantly disregard state sovereignty. Air raid sirens sounded overnight in both countries as Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced targeted attacks on US bases in the region. The US military separately intercepted Iranian drones heading toward the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global energy supplies. Bahraini authorities urged citizens to avoid fallen debris and refrain from touching suspicious objects. No casualties were immediately reported. The attacks come amid heightened regional tensions following Iran's large-scale strikes on Israel earlier this week.
