Baghdad Photo Exhibition on Iraq's Ehvar Region Closes After Three Days

BAGHDAD, Iraq — A photo exhibition documenting life in Iraq's Ehvar region concluded in Baghdad after three days. The exhibition was organized by the Babylon Film Institution as part of the "Reviving Ehvar, Reviving Hope" campaign, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme and with support from the Canadian government. The display featured photographs portraying daily life in the Ehvar region, highlighting the natural beauty of the environment, the impact of drought and climate change on local communities, and stories of adaptation and solidarity among residents. Both amateur and professional photographers from various regions of Iraq, along with environmental activists, submitted entries to the competition. A technical committee of photography experts selected the works on display. UNDP Representative in Iraq Mehdi Halili opened the exhibition. Muntazar al-Waili, Wazza al-Umari, and Hussein Ali al-Moussavi received various awards at the competition.
