HONG KONG โ Asian markets rose on Monday, helped by gains in shares linked to artificial intelligence, while oil prices also moved higher in Hong Kong as uncertainty persisted over talks between the United States and Iran.
Iranโs chief negotiator said the country would not trust any agreement that did not fully guarantee its rights. Reports that U.S. President Donald Trump had sent a tougher proposal further complicated the negotiations.
Brent crude rose 2.4 percent, while West Texas Intermediate gained 2.8 percent.
In Seoul, the stock market climbed more than 4 percent, with buying in chipmakers and artificial intelligence companies driving the advance.
