Apple Announces iOS 27 at WWDC 2026 With Performance, AI Upgrades

Apple announced iOS 27 at its Worldwide Developers Conference 2026, unveiling a new version of its mobile operating system with updates to performance, user experience and artificial intelligence features. The company said applications will open faster, response times will decrease and device resources will be managed more efficiently. AirDrop, Apple's file-sharing feature, was updated to increase transfer speeds by up to 80 percent. The Liquid Glass interface received expanded customization options and visual improvements. Apple said Siri was developed to better understand various command formats and execute more complex tasks with greater accuracy. Apple plans to release the general version of iOS 27 in July 2026, with user distribution beginning in fall 2026.
