Zaho tops Iraq Stars League's 12 most expensive transfers

DUHOK, Iraq — Iraq Stars League clubs recorded their highest transfer fees as the 2026-27 summer window opened, with Zaho accounting for the top three deals on the list. Zaho's signing of Uzbek player Sherzod Temirov topped the ranking at $1.2 million. Zaho also signed Akam Hashim for $1 million and Ali Jasim for $900,000, placing the club's players first, second and third. Erbil's Ibrahim Bayesh ranked fourth with a $866,000 deal, while Zawra's Mohammed Sharif was fifth at $800,000. Mustafa Sadoun ($600,000), Hassan Abdulkarim ($550,000) and Mohammed Ali ($533,000) followed. The top 10 were completed by Paul Basin of Zakho? at $505,000 and Harun Ahmed at $470,000. Police Club's Kristian Barko ranked 11th at $450,000, while Kingsley Koko was 12th at $430,000. Zaho had four players among the 12 most expensive signings.
