ADEN, Yemen โ€” Yemen's internationally recognized government, based in Aden, said on Monday that Houthi forces fired 14 ballistic missiles at areas in the country's west. The government-affiliated Western Coast Sector military media unit said most of the missiles struck Mocha in Taiz governorate, while others landed in Huveydah district in Hodeidah governorate. According to the unit, Houthi forces also carried out a drone armed with munitions strike east of Hays district in Hodeidah governorate. Government air defense systems reportedly shot down several drones on the Taiz front and in the Western Coast Sector. Government forces said the ballistic missiles did not cause any impact on positions in the Western Coast Sector, adding that it had not yet confirmed whether the attacks resulted in casualties or material damage. No further details were immediately available. In parallel with the missile attacks, the Houthis launched a ground offensive on the Kadhah-Berh front west of Taiz, according to the same statement. Following intense clashes, government forces said they neutralized Houthi positions in Kadhah and forced the group to withdraw.
