BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Ministry of Education has issued a new directive standardizing school uniforms for public secondary schools. The ministry said the uniform specifications cover color, design and fabric type, and are intended to be applied equally to all students.
Under the directive, the uniform will be worn on school grounds, in classrooms and at official events, with separate arrangements possible for sports and cultural activities. The ministry said the policy aims to reinforce unity and equality among students.
Implementation timelines and oversight mechanisms have been communicated to provincial education directorates, according to the ministry. Officials said the new rules will take effect at the start of the next academic year.
