BAGHDAD, Iraq — Yango Play has launched in Iraq through a partnership with Baghdad-based digital entertainment company 1001, which will serve as the platform's sole distributor in the country.
Under the agreement, 1001 will manage distribution across telecom companies and internet service providers. The deal aims to expand legal digital broadcasting options for Iraqi users and businesses. Yango Play's catalog of films, series, music content, original productions, and AI-supported features are now accessible in the Iraqi market.
1001 is also preparing a "Super Bundle" package that brings together multiple international and regional streaming services on a single platform. The company said subscribers can manage their accounts through one interface and single payment method.
The launch positions Yango Play as a competitor in Iraq's growing digital entertainment market, where internet usage and smartphone ownership have been rising.
