Two killed in bomb attack outside courthouse in Syria's Hasakah

Security forces sealed off the area and launched an investigation into the blast, which struck in front of the courthouse in the city center. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and officials said the motive and the identities of those behind the bombing remained unclear. Authorities said the inquiry was continuing and that further details would be released once the investigation advanced. Hasakah, a predominantly Kurdish city in northeastern Syria, has experienced sporadic attacks in recent years, including bombings targeting security positions and public buildings. The province hosts a mix of Syrian government forces, Kurdish-led internal security units and U.S.-backed coalition troops operating in the area against remnants of the Islamic State group.
