Trump Says US Has Achieved Progress in Iran Nuclear Negotiations

He also noted that oil prices have stabilized at around $96 per barrel, contrary to earlier market forecasts predicting prices would surge to $300. US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with American nuclear experts as talks with Iran entered what sources described as a final phase. However, disagreement remains over Iran's frozen assets held abroad. Iran demands an immediate $12 billion compensation payment should any preliminary agreement be reached. The United States prefers linking the release of frozen funds to Tehran's compliance with agreement terms.
