Messaging platform Telegram has released a rebuilt native app for Apple Watch, ending a multi-year absence on the device. Founder and CEO Pavel Durov announced the return on X, saying the platform is back on Apple's smartwatch.
According to GSMArena, the new app supports text and voice messages, along with animated images, video, location sharing and stickers. It also provides access to the full chat list and contact directory.
After installation, users must scan a QR code in the iPhone version of Telegram to sync their contacts and messages. Telegram had previously discontinued its native watchOS app before bringing back a redesigned version.
The company did not immediately share details on which watchOS versions are supported or whether additional features are planned.
