DUBAI, United Arab Emirates โ The Kurdistan Region Security Coordination Agency recorded six drone strikes targeting locations in the Kurdistan Region within 24 hours, according to a statement from the agency. Five of the attacks struck Koye city and surrounding areas between 12:35 and 14:00 on Monday, July 27, 2026. A sixth drone hit the Sharbajair area at 05:20 on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
The security agency confirmed that no casualties were reported in any of the strikes. It did not provide further information on the parties responsible for the attacks. No group or actor has been publicly identified as behind the incidents.
Koye is located in Erbil province, while Sharbajair lies in Sulaymaniyah province, according to Iraqi administrative boundaries. The attacks come amid a broader pattern of drone activity affecting northern Iraq, though the agency offered no indication of who carried out the latest strikes or their intended targets.
