Russia says it struck fuel depots at Ukraine's Chornomorsk port

MOSCOW — Russia's Defense Ministry said its forces carried out a heavy airstrike on fuel depots belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk. In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry said the Russian army continued strikes against port infrastructure and naval vessels used in support of Ukrainian military operations. The statement said the attack used strike drones and high-precision air-launched weapons, and that the fuel depots at Chornomorsk were hit. It added that the facilities had been used to supply fuel to the Ukrainian army. The ministry also reported that two dry cargo ships transporting ammunition and military equipment for the Ukrainian army at Chornomorsk were targeted. According to the statement, the strikes additionally covered fuel and lubricant facilities and depots used by the Ukrainian army at the port of Odesa and in the Beliaivka and Novi Beliaivka areas.
