Russia Says It Has US Agreement on Ukraine Peace Terms

WASHINGTON, United States — A representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Russia and the United States have reached consensus on conditions for peace in Ukraine. Kirill Dmitriyev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, told reporters that Moscow and Washington are aligned on peace terms, and that the next step lies with Kyiv. He accused Europe and Britain of attempting to obstruct the resolution process. Dmitriyev also claimed the origins of the conflict stem from the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden, and predicted Europe will face an energy crisis while asserting that Russia's economy is outperforming European economies. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow still views political solutions as possible but acknowledged ongoing obstacles. He said a resolution process remains deadlocked and military tensions persist.
