Riyadh Season named sponsor of 2027 Spanish Super Cup in Istanbul

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh announced on Thursday that Riyadh Season will sponsor the 2027 Spanish Super Cup, which will be held in Istanbul. The tournament is set to take place at Atatürk Olympic Stadium and will feature four leading Spanish league clubs. The event is organized under an agreement between the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Saudi company Sela, in cooperation with the Turkish Football Federation, marking another edition of the competition held outside Spain. Atatürk Olympic Stadium, which hosted Champions League finals in 2005 and 2023, is among Europe's prominent football venues. Sela will coordinate the tournament's commercial rights and operational processes with the Spanish and Turkish federations. The expected lineup includes Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid. Further details on the match schedule, ticket sales and fan events are expected to be announced at a later date.
