BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Raghad Saddam, daughter of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein, has rejected claims circulating on social media and in some media outlets that a woman living in Yemen is her father's secret daughter. In a post on X, Raghad described the allegations as fabricated and defamatory, noting that similar claims had surfaced in the past and continued to be circulated.
Raghad said documents presented by the woman to support her claims had been examined in multiple official investigations and found to be forged. She also rejected the woman's assertion that a house in Yemen belonged to her father, stating that the property belongs to the family of her uncle, Sabaawi Ibrahim.
The family has never acknowledged the existence of secret children or relatives, Raghad said, urging the public not to lend credence to narratives aimed at sowing discord. She also appealed directly to the Yemeni public, calling on them not to be influenced by what she described as fabricated accounts designed to create unrest.
