Pope Calls for Stronger European Integration During Spain Visit

Pope Leo XIV called for strengthening European integration during the first stop of his visit to Spain, saying the process should be viewed as a gift for all humanity rather than a tool against other powers. Speaking at the Royal Palace in Madrid, the pontiff said genuine security comes from the ability to walk alongside others and progress together, rather than through weapons and walls. His trip also includes Barcelona and the Canary Islands.
