Nineveh Technical University to Establish Health Technologies and AI Institute

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Nineveh Technical University has received approval to establish a master's-level Institute of Health Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, according to University President Aliye al-Attar. The permit was granted through an amendment to Law No. 40 of 1988 issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Attar announced the approval at a press conference in Baghdad. The institute aims to train advanced expert personnel in health technologies and AI applications, addressing workforce needs in healthcare institutions and academic fields. Attar said the programs will support digital transformation in Iraq's health sector and align with global developments. The project is part of the university's strategy to develop its academic structure and establish contemporary departments meeting future workforce requirements.
