Muqtada al-Sadr Orders Saraya al-Salam Military Wing to Separate from Movement

Muqtada al-Sadr has issued a formal directive ordering the separation of the Saraya al-Salam military wing from the Shiite National Movement. The process is mandated for completion within one week under the supervision of his office director and military advisor. As part of the restructuring, the organization’s civilian wing will be integrated into the Bunyan al-Marous structure. The handover and administrative transition are scheduled to conclude by the Eid al-Ghadir holiday. This directive follows Sadr’s announcement yesterday regarding the full integration of the organization into state institutions. The move is intended to safeguard the country against prevailing security threats and serve the broader public interest.
