Shia mourners mark seventh of Muharram with processions in Samawa

SAMAWA, Iraq — Worshippers gathered in the streets and squares of Samawa on the seventh day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, to hold mourning processions for the Ahl al-Bayt, the household of the Prophet Muhammad.
