Motorola and Samsung outline 2026 budget smartphone lineups

Motorola is expanding its range of affordable smartphones for 2026, while Samsung is refreshing its Galaxy A series. The Motorola Edge, priced from $399.99 in the United States, features a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The device carries a 50-megapixel main camera, a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 5,200 mAh battery supporting 68-watt wired and 15-watt wireless charging. For lower budgets, the $199.99 Moto G offers 5G connectivity, a 120 Hz LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip and 30-watt fast charging. The $299.99 Moto G Power stands out with IP68 and IP69 durability certifications. On the Samsung side, the Galaxy A37 5G starts at around $380 and comes with a commitment of six years of operating system and security updates. The Galaxy A27 5G, starting at $349.99, brings the Galaxy A line's artificial intelligence features to a lower price tier.
