MOSUL, Iraq โ The Water Maintenance Directorate in northeastern Mosul receives roughly 40 fault and service requests every day, with crews working around the clock to repair damaged pipes, restore supplies in cut-off neighborhoods and remove illegal connections from the network, the directorate's head said.
Director Saad al-Saig said response times depend on the type and scale of the problem, with simple interventions completed the same day and more complex faults taking up to two or three days. He acknowledged that resources are limited but said teams are continuing efforts to deliver the best service possible to residents.
Separately, the Nineveh Water Directorate announced that one of the main lines supplying the southern Al-Yarmouk water station requires emergency maintenance, cutting drinking water to 16 districts in southeastern Mosul for two days.
