KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry summoned Iran’s chargé d’affaires and delivered a protest note over what it described as Iranian attacks, the ministry said. It also said it had decided to reduce staff at the Iranian embassy and declared two diplomatic personnel persona non grata, ordering them to leave the country within 24 hours. Kuwait’s Health Ministry said 63 people were injured in the attack on the country, including civilian workers, Kuwait International Airport staff and passengers. The ministry did not give further details on the condition of the injured. The Kuwaiti army said it detected and neutralized 13 ballistic missiles and 17 drones. It said one Indian national was killed in the attacks and that some locations sustained material damage. Civil defense teams said they handled nine reports involving falling fragments from missiles and drones. Kuwait said the attacks targeted civilian facilities before dawn and that it activated an emergency plan at the airport.
