KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait โ€” Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said critical oil-sector facilities in the country were targeted in repeated Iranian strikes, causing injuries among personnel and material damage at the sites. In a brief statement, the corporation described the attacks on key oil infrastructure as an "assault," saying they resulted in worker injuries and physical damage to the affected installations. Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned one strike that hit an electricity and water-treatment facility as "Iranian aggression," adding that the repeated targeting of vital sites reflected a hostile posture and amounted to a violation of international law. The ministry said Kuwait reserved the right to take all necessary measures to protect its security and defend its territory. The statements came as Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps announced earlier the same day that it had targeted U.S. military and logistics facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan. Kuwait's army reported that it had intercepted missiles and drones used in the attacks. No further details on casualties or the extent of the damage at the oil facilities were immediately available.
