BUBIYAN ISLAND, Kuwait โ The Kuwaiti army said Saturday that an Iranian attack struck civilian vehicles belonging to a company and a state facility on Bubiyan Island in the country's north. The army said unmanned aerial vehicles originating from Iran had been detected and destroyed since dawn.
Debris from the drones caused material damage but no injuries were reported, according to the statement. Earlier, Kuwait's General Staff said air defense systems had engaged enemy drones and that explosions heard in some areas resulted from the air defense response.
The army said operations against aerial threats were continuing. No further details on casualties or the extent of damage were immediately available.
