BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraqi Hajj and Umrah Authority on Saturday announced the start of an electronic refund process for application fees paid for the Hajj lottery. The procedure, which began on August 1, 2026, will remain open for ten days, the authority said in a statement.
Applicants are required to access the service link on the Uru portal and then proceed to the Ulu Hajj and Umrah Authority services through the Super Application to select the Hajj registration fee refund service. Each applicant must enter a ten-digit application number and the associated phone number, then complete identity verification by taking a selfie following the application's instructions, according to the statement.
Once verification is successfully completed, the applicant will receive a notification confirming that the request has been received and is under review. A separate notification will be sent after the fee is refunded to the applicant's account, the authority said.
The authority reiterated that all refund transactions are free of charge and conducted entirely through official electronic channels. Citizens were urged to use only approved platforms and to avoid unverified links or entities. For technical issues, the Information Technology Center support team is available at phone number 5995.
