Kurdistan Region PM Barzani meets UAE president in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to discuss expanding cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates. UAE Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum also attended the meeting. According to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government, the two leaders reviewed political and security developments in the region and explored ways to deepen bilateral ties. Barzani arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier the same day on an official visit. The leaders condemned recent attacks against the UAE and stressed the need to safeguard regional security and stability, the statement said. No further details on the talks were immediately available.
