LONDON โ€” Krispy Kreme has recalled two World Cup-themed doughnut products in the United Kingdom because they may contain undeclared nuts, the company has announced. The recall covers the single "Pitch Perfect Donut," shaped like a football pitch, and the 12-pack "Match Day Dozen," which includes two of the themed doughnuts. The recall applies to batches sold with best-before dates of 21 and 22 June 2026. The doughnuts were produced at the company's factory in Peterborough and distributed to branches in Leicester, Nottingham, Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge, as well as to selected supermarkets in the surrounding area. A Krispy Kreme spokesperson said consumer safety is a priority and that customers who purchased the affected products can return them for a full refund without presenting a receipt. The UK Food Standards Agency issued a separate alert, warning consumers with nut allergies not to eat the recalled doughnuts and confirming that refunds will be issued without proof of purchase.
