BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Rashid Bank said on Tuesday it has enrolled more than 155,000 retirees in its "Aksat" installment service, expanding a program previously limited to government employees and staff at the ministries of interior and defense.
The bank said the expansion aims to support retirees' purchasing power and allow them to meet expenses through easier installment plans. It added that the move forms part of efforts to broaden financial inclusion and expand electronic banking services for citizens.
Under the program, retirees will be able to access installment financing and electronic payment options through "Aksat." Applications can be submitted via the bank's branches and electronic platforms, with the service operated through digital channels, the bank said.
