Khinjir condemns Iran's attacks on Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — Iraqi politician Khimis al-Khinjir on Wednesday condemned Iran’s attacks on Kuwait, describing them as an “aggressive escalation” and a clear violation. In a written statement, he said the attacks involved drones and missiles and targeted civilian and vital facilities. Al-Khinjir said Kuwait International Airport was also hit, arguing that this contradicted Iran’s statements that no foreign bases were targeted. He added that the attacks caused civilian deaths and injuries. He expressed solidarity with the people and leadership of Kuwait and offered condolences to the families of those killed. Al-Khinjir also called on the United Nations, the Security Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to condemn the attack.
