DUBAI, United Arab Emirates โ A senior Israeli official said ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates have grown closer after the latest war, citing increased military cooperation and opportunities to strengthen commercial relations.
Speaking to Agence France-Presse, the official did not confirm U.S.-based reports that Israel had sent Iron Dome batteries and personnel to the UAE. The official also declined to comment on a Wall Street Journal report that the UAE coordinated strikes on Iran with Israel and the United States.
The official said two Israeli delegations would travel to the UAE next week. One of the delegations will come from the transportation ministry and will discuss a trade corridor linking India, the Middle East and Europe.
The UAE recognized Israel in 2020 under the Abraham Accords.
