Iraqi tennis player Hamam Isam wins singles and doubles titles in Alanya

Iraqi national tennis team player Hamam Isam won both the singles and doubles titles at an international friendly tennis tournament held in Alanya, Turkey. Speaking about his performance, Isam said he played seven matches in the singles draw, which featured 22 athletes across group and knockout stages, on hard courts. He defeated a Russian opponent en route to the final, where he beat Sweden's No. 2 player 7-5, 6-3 to claim the singles title. In the doubles event, Isam partnered with a Swedish player who finished second in the under-16 category in Sweden, and the pair won the doubles title as well. Isam said the tournament, which included athletes from Sweden, Russia and other countries at varying levels, provided valuable international experience. Isam added that he funded his participation himself, competed as part of an ongoing training camp in Turkey, and is preparing for the next Iraqi national team trials.
