BAGHDAD, Iraq โ€” Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Ziyadi is expected to travel to Saudi Arabia on July 30, 2026, for a one-day official visit at the head of a government delegation, according to Al Hurra. In Riyadh, Ziyadi is set to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and reaffirm that Iraq will not allow its territory to be used for attacks against the kingdom or other Arab states. The agenda will focus on bringing weapons under state control, along with energy and economic cooperation. Talks are expected to cover reactivating the Hitโ€“Yanbu oil pipeline, increasing Iraq's production quota within OPEC, and accelerating the work of the Iraqโ€“Saudi Arabia Coordination Council. Ziyadi will visit Turkey on July 29 to discuss energy and joint cooperation files before traveling to Riyadh. The two trips follow recent visits to Tehran and Washington, where Ziyadi met U.S. President Donald Trump between July 13 and 18 and announced a strategic partnership framework between Iraq and the United States. The visit builds on earlier diplomatic engagement between Baghdad and Riyadh, including a July 12 meeting in the Saudi capital between Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan.
