BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zeydi has called on Iraq's National Investment Commission to contribute to a government project to provide one million housing plots across the country, his office said.
During a visit to the commission's headquarters, al-Zeydi reviewed investment plans and the implementation of development projects, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office. Discussions covered investment opportunities nationwide and procedures to accelerate the delivery of projects.
Al-Zeydi directed officials to align investment projects with the government program and economic development objectives, and to speed up processes to convert available opportunities in various sectors into concrete projects. He also asked that agricultural land be allocated to agricultural engineers and veterinarians to support rural and agricultural development.
The head of the National Investment Commission said projects are proceeding in line with the government program and that existing investment opportunities are being converted into development projects.
