The Iraqi Navy rescued four fishermen after their boat sank near the Basra oil port. The operation was initiated after the crew issued a distress call while in the vicinity of the facility.
The P-310 patrol boat, which was conducting security operations in the ship-to-ship loading zone, was dispatched to the scene under the direction of the General Staff. The naval crew located the fishermen and brought them to safety shortly after arriving at the site.
Medical personnel provided first aid to the survivors, confirming that all four individuals were in good health. The Iraqi Navy stated that the rescue was part of its ongoing mandate to maintain maritime security and conduct search and rescue operations within its area of responsibility.
