Iraqi Interior Ministry issues instructions for 73rd Police School candidates in Basra

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Interior Ministry, through its Directorate of Volunteers Affairs, has issued new instructions for candidates invited by text message to the 73rd Police School in Basra. Candidates are required to appear in person at the Police School in the Shu'aib area of Basra on October 7 at 7:00 a.m. According to the ministry, applicants must bring their original identification card along with four colored copies, a barcoded or certified grade certificate, 20 photos in formal attire, and identification cards of both parents. Death certificates and additional documents may be required for candidates from special categories, including relatives of martyrs. The ministry said candidates must carry a Mastercard with a balance of more than 31,000 dinars and arrive dressed in black trousers, a white shirt, a black tie and light black shoes. Hair and beards must be kept in a formal style, and the text message invitation must be retained.
