Iraqi Forces Detain Foreign Migrants, Suspects; Seize ISIS Ammunition in Diyala

BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraqi National Security Agency announced Tuesday that operations in Mosul and Diyala resulted in the detention of foreign irregular migrants and two suspects, along with the discovery of a weapons cache.
The agency said a group of foreigners who entered Mosul illegally were apprehended following intelligence surveillance and judicial authorization. Their cases have been referred to the relevant authorities under residency law. In the Davase district of Mosul, two additional suspects were detained under Article 37 of the anti-money laundering and terrorism financing law.
In Diyala province's Bedluz district, security forces discovered a weapons and ammunition cache belonging to remnants of ISIS in the El-Nada area. The cache included 25 60-millimeter mortar rounds, 19 large rockets and three improvised explosive devices. The ammunition was destroyed by specialized units in accordance with established procedures.
