BAGHDAD, Iraq — BAGHDAD — Iraqi football clubs have moved early in the summer transfer window ahead of the 2026-27 season, completing a series of signings, renewals and departures.
Air Force Club strengthened its squad by signing Al Garaa player Abbas Fawzi and defender Karar Ali. Police Club sent player Mundi to UAE side Al Difra and parted ways with longtime member Emir Sabah. The club also said it is close to finalizing the transfer of Mustafa Walid, whose contract renewal talks with Air Force Club had stalled over financial disagreements.
Zakho Club renewed the contracts of Amjad Atwan, Shirko Karim, Joseph Mauricio, Norbinyo, Esama Rashid, Aliu Adam, Tijani Divoti, Shavan Jamil and Hamid Haji, retaining its core squad. Naft Club signed striker Obari, renewed the contract of Ghanaian defender Mohammed Habib and brought in goalkeeper Ali Yasir from Duhok.
Duhok added Kmail Saadi, Muhenk Jaaz, Revan Amin, Yunus Hamoud and Mahmoud Almawwas to its roster, while Port Club confirmed that head coach Hussein Abdulwahed will remain in charge.
