Iraqi cabinet approves one-time supplementary exam for middle, prep school students

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Council of Ministers approved a one-time supplementary examination for third-year middle school and sixth-year preparatory school students who did not previously use their exam eligibility, according to an official statement. The decision allows these students a single additional chance to sit the exam. Officials said the measure is designed to safeguard students' right to education and to give a second opportunity to those who missed or failed previous sittings. The cabinet specified that the exceptional allowance will be applied on a limited, one-time basis to keep educational procedures running on schedule.
