BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Federal Integrity Commission said it identified conflicts of interest involving 31 public officials during asset-disclosure reviews carried out in June, according to the commission's monthly report.
The agency received 4,967 asset-disclosure forms during the month and conducted 120 inspection visits to government entities, the report said. It also carried out awareness and transparency programs in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, the commission's investigation department and the Baghdad Karkh Health Directorate.
Under that cooperation, two workshops were held on the Ministry of Health's 2016/1 Code of Professional Conduct and its first amendment issued in 2017. A separate team monitoring e-governance and electronic-payment projects visited the Shiite Endowments (Diwan) and the Northern Refineries Company of the Ministry of Oil, producing two reports.
The commission said it continues to monitor public officials' performance alongside its conflict-of-interest and asset-disclosure audits. No further details on the officials involved or any disciplinary action were immediately available.
