Iraq U-20 team relocates to Chonburi for Asian Cup qualifiers

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — BANGKOK — Iraq's U-20 national football team moved from Bangkok to Chonburi on Wednesday to begin preparations for its Asian Cup qualifying campaign. The squad is set to play Group F matches running from the 31st of this month through the 6th of next month. Iraq will face the United Arab Emirates, Turkmenistan and host nation Thailand in the group stage. The team wrapped up its Bangkok training camp with a final practice session on Tuesday, with head coach Ahmed Salah and his staff overseeing a full-squad workout. During the Bangkok camp, Iraq played three friendlies, beating Kuwait 1-0 and Indonesia 2-1 before drawing 0-0 with Iran. The team will complete its preparations in Chonburi ahead of its opening qualifier.
