Iraq plans digital system for exam question distribution

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Education Minister Abdulkarim Obeid al-Jubouri met Communications Minister Mustafa Sanad on Sunday to discuss a new electronic system for managing, printing and distributing examination questions. According to a ministry statement, the system is built around a secure algorithm designed to transmit questions to all exam centers simultaneously. Under the plan, a question bank would be archived electronically, and exam papers would be printed and dispatched at 7 a.m. with a single command. Officials said the new method would reduce reliance on paper-based procedures and strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure during exam periods. The two ministers agreed that internet services would not be cut during exams, with technical measures to be used instead to enhance data security. The statement added that the system is expected to lower staffing needs and reduce storage and safeguarding risks. No timeline for implementation was provided.
