BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The spokesman for Iraq's Commander-in-Chief, Sabah Numan, dismissed media reports that changes had been made to senior security command positions and duty assignments. In a written statement, Numan said posts circulating on some media outlets and social media platforms about such changes were inaccurate.
Numan called on all media outlets to verify their sources and rely solely on official channels for information. The Commander-in-Chief's media office asked the public not to credit information from non-official channels, saying such speculation harms the reputation of security institutions and creates unnecessary public concern.
The statement stressed that security units continue their regular duties and that no assignment changes have been made. It added that the public should follow official statements to obtain accurate information. No further details were immediately available.
