Iraq sees slight rise in temperatures, clear skies forecast

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Meteorological Directorate said on Wednesday that weather across the country will be clear and sunny, with partly cloudy conditions expected in the northern region. The agency also noted a chance of light showers in mountainous areas in the north. Temperatures are forecast to edge up slightly compared with the previous day, with hot conditions persisting during daytime hours. Overnight and early morning hours are expected to bring relatively milder weather. Authorities urged the public to avoid prolonged direct sun exposure during the day and to maintain adequate water intake. Meteorological officials said temperature trends will be monitored in the coming days and updated figures will be released to the public.
